Why Did Cruz Vote To Give Obama Executive Action On Iran After He Said He Was Against It?

In case some of you missed this one, Senator Cruz voted in favor of giving President Obama the right to treat the “treaty” with Iran as nothing more than an executive order, rendering Congress completely useless in the process. In essence he gave the nod for Obama to use his “pen and phone”-style executive order to wield his foreign policy.

It’s the single-most vital terror-related issue of our lifetime – and Cruz voted to do the opposite of what every American wanted done with the deal. He was even one of the Keynote speakers shouting out against it at the “Stop Iran Rally”.

For me, it was just another obvious display of Cruz saying one thing very conservative and doing another thing very liberal.  But for the evangelical conservatives….many don’t even know he voted for it, and those that do are blinded by his Shakespearean poses as he claims, “I am the most conservative candidate running- vote for me.” bla, bla, bla.

When questioned, double talking Cruz said that by voting in the overwhelming majority to give President Obama the right to make it an executive action that he was “hoping to slow down the process.” Wow? Can you imagine as commander in chief, Cruz using logic like that and hope our aggressors slow down whatever process they are moving toward? I can because it sounds just like his poison pen amendment strategy! You know add an amendment so something won’t get passed and it does? Or after filibustering Obama Care, Cruz votes for the house bill anyway? The guy is either a simpleton or a liar after the fact. But go ahead and believe his double talk, as he says – talk is cheap, you shall know a candidate by his WORKS. Well, so far all his talk is cheap and his works go against conservative values and especially against the will of the people.

When Cruz claims to be the principled, filibuster-owning, stand up for conservative values tea party guy with his mouth, and ends up helping Obama further the abuse of executive orders – and to do so on the single-most vital terror-related issue of our lifetime, I say his works speak so loudly I can no longer hear what he is saying!

    2. Gadsden, please name one thing that Trump is actually for doing that is in line with the establishment globalist agenda? What Trump said he would do with his pen and executive privilege is to get IT OUT AND SIGN NEW EXECUTIVE ORDERS TO OVERRIDE ALL THE BAD AND AWFUL EXECUTIVE ORDERS THAT OBAMA HAS SIGNED INTO PLACE. THEREBY MAKING HIS EVIL ACTIONS NULL AND VOID. He has said over and over (which you obviously didn’t quite understand) is that the “Beauty of executive orders is that the next president can over write them with a new executive order.” There in lies the failing of Obama not to go before congress and get approval, which would be much harder to undo. So yes, Trump will use the power of his pen. For the right purpose. And NO HE IS NOT ESTABLISHMENT. HE IS FOR AMERICAN SOVEREIGNTY AND THE ONLY CANDIDATE RUNNING THAT CAN STAND UP AGAINST THE GREAT MERCHANTS WHO DESIRE THEIR NEW ORDER.

  7. Cruz did Not Vote on this, “No Vote R Cruz, Ted TX”
    The other senator of TX voted Yea. So what if it would’ve made no difference if he voted.. At least he should have voted. The Bill Amendment says:

    “This was a vote to approve or reject amendment S.Amdt. 1150 (Ron Johnson) to H.R. 1191. The title of the amendment is S.Amdt. 1150 (Johnson) to H.R. 1191: To declare that any agreement reached by the President relating to the nuclear program of Iran is deemed a treaty that is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.”

    Correct me if Im wrong, but Basically it says that the amendment makes what Obama is doing, to be deemed a “Treaty” and is Subject to “Advice and Consent of the Senate”. Isnt that what We Want? Instead of Executive Action? Well, it ;passed. Cruz Did not Vote either way on it. Sorry, but It bugs me that he did not vote on something important like this. Very Ambiguous, I say…..

    He was elected to Represent the People, If it was Bad, Vote NO. IF it was Good, Vote YES.
    No Vote = He did not want to get involved, because it would show on his Voting Record. Its the Only Reason I would think he would not Vote on it.

  9. This is a dishonest piece by The Marshall Report. The bill being referred to passed the Senate 98-1 and created a review process where the republicans , including Cruz , would try to block the Iran deal. They needed democratic help in order to do so.They didn’t get it. Without this bill Obama could have done what ever he wanted with no review. The Trumpkins will go to great lengths to smear the people who are running against Trump, who would probably lose toClinton. This is just another example.
